1. Applicants must be paid members and have been so for 3 months prior to applying for a Race Incentive Grant.

2. For 2025 each member will be eligible for a total of $150 in grants.

3. For each race a member may receive a 50% grant of the early-bird registration fee. 

4. Race Incentives are granted regardless of a member’s financial need. 

5. Member’s should complete the Race Incentive Grant Application.

6. It is suggested that members apply for Incentive funds before registering for a race, although this is not necessary. It is however required that members apply for funds for a race before the race has occurred. If approved, the member has until two weeks following the date of the race to submit the receipt.

7. Decisions will be made within seven days of submission. If approved, the member must register and pay for the full fee. It is also recommended that members make use of the FRWFL discount code when registering.

8. After paying for the race, member’s should return here within two weeks to provide proof of payment using the Proof of Payment Form. Reimbursement will be sent within 7 days. 

9. Race Incentive Grants will be awarded based on the availability of funds and the decisions of the Race Incentive Grant Committee are final.

10. Currently the Race Incentive Grant Committee is composed of the Vice-President, Treasurer.

**Although not a requirement, it is strongly encouraged that Race Incentive Grant recipients wear their FRWFL Club Shirts at the race and take and post photographs in their club shirts on social media. Thanks. 

In order to promote the sport of running, racing and general health among LGBTQ Young Adults (18-30) who are residents of Broward County Florida, Front Runners & Walkers Fort Lauderdale is offering a limited number of Race Grants worth up to $50 to pay whole or in part for races in Broward County*.  The grant funds will be paid directly to the Race Director for a grantee's desired race and the grantee will receive a "discount code" that will provide free registration for races under $50 or a credit of $50 dollars for more expensive races the balance of which the grantee will pay. 

Rules:

1. Applicants must be 18-30 years of age at the time of the application.

2. Applicants must be residents of Broward County Florida.

3.  Applicants are only eligible to be awarded one (1) grant per 365 days.

4. *Target races must take place in Broward County with the exception of the Night Runners WPB Pride 5K.

5. Application must be made prior to registering and paying for a chosen race.

6. Applicants need not be members of Front Runners & Walkers Fort Lauderdale.

7. Grants will be awarded without regard to the applicant's, sex, gender identity, race or ethnicity.

8. Applicants who demonstrate participation in their college's LGBTQ Club or Gay Straight Alliance or a community LGBTQ organization will be given priority when awarding grants.

9. Applicants must agree to release Front Runners & Walkers Fort Lauderdale from any and all liability from their participation in their chosen race.

10. The terms of this program are subject to change without notice.

11. The decisions of the FRWFL Race Grant Committee are final.
