Front Runners & Walkers Fort Lauderdale is committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment for all individuals who participate in our running, walking, fitness, social, and community activities. We believe diversity is a strength and that everyone should have the opportunity to participate, build connections, and experience a sense of belonging.
Non-Discrimination
Front Runners & Walkers Fort Lauderdale does not discriminate in membership, participation, volunteer opportunities, leadership, programs, services, or events on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, ancestry, religion, sex, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, veteran or military status, socioeconomic background, marital or family status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
While the club has a strong LGBTQ+ community presence, we welcome people from all walks of life, including LGBTQ+ individuals, allies, and members of the broader South Florida community.
Inclusion and Accessibility
The club offers activities designed for runners and walkers of all abilities and experience levels. We strive to reduce barriers to participation and, when reasonably possible, accommodate individuals with disabilities or other needs that affect their participation.
Respectful Environment
All members, volunteers, leaders, guests, and participants are expected to treat one another with dignity and respect. Discrimination, harassment, bullying, intimidation, or other conduct that creates an unwelcoming or unsafe environment is not tolerated in connection with club activities.
Concerns regarding discrimination or violations of this policy may be brought to any officer or Board member. The Board of Directors is responsible for administering this policy and addressing concerns appropriately. Retaliation against anyone who raises a good-faith concern or participates in the review of a concern is prohibited.
